FAQ

What do you offer?

I offer individual queer therapy with a particular focus on transgender people and gender identity.

Who are you?

I am a non-binary and queer social worker with Step 1 psychotherapeutic training and training in art therapy.
I have experience working with people of all ages in different life situations, and I meet you with respect, curiosity, and attentiveness.

My fundamental belief is that every person carries inner resources and the potential for change. In therapy, we work together to understand what feels difficult and to find ways forward at your pace.

Are you a licenced psykotherapist?

I am not a licensed psychotherapist or psychologist.
I hold a Step 1 qualification in psychotherapy, which means foundational training in psychotherapy under supervision, and I have 12 years of experience in supportive counseling.

I offer supportive and in-depth therapeutic conversations.

Where are you located?

I receive clients in Gothenburg at Marketenterivägen 3, in an accessible and neurodivergent-friendly space.
Online sessions are available if that suits you better.

Who can you offer support?

I work with children and adolescents from age 11, as well as adults seeking support around, for example:

  • gender identity, gender expression, and sexuality
  • coming out processes and living openly
  • stress, shame, guilt, fear, and loneliness
  • relationships, family, polyamory, and relationship anarchy
  • self-esteem, self-compassion, and setting boundaries
  • experiences of discrimination, transphobia, homophobia, or violence
  • gender euphoria, pride, and minority joy

If you are unsure whether I am the right person for you, you are welcome to get in touch and we can talk about it.

In cases of severe psychiatric conditions or the need for medical treatment, I recommend contacting healthcare services.

How will the first session be?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You do not need to prepare or have “all the answers.”
You are welcome to share at a pace that feels safe for you.

We talk about what has led you to seek support and what you would like help with. After that, we reflect together on whether it feels right to continue working together.

Who long is a session?

One session is 50 minutes.

How many sessions are needed?

It varies. Sometimes a few sessions are enough to gain clarity or support in a specific situation.
In other cases, it may be a longer process. We evaluate together along the way.

Do I need to be creative to schedule an art therapy session?

No, absolutely not.
You do not need to know how to paint or be “creative.” Image-making is used as a way to express and explore feelings and experiences – not to create something aesthetically pleasing or technically skilled.

Do you have experience in working with neurodivergent people?

Yes. I have solid knowledge of neurodiversity such as autism and ADHD, and how these can interact with gender identity, minority stress, and mental health. I am aware of how masking, sensory sensitivity, energy management, and the need for clarity can affect the therapeutic setting. Therapy is adapted to your needs.

Do you have a oath of confidentiality?

Yes, I do. Conversations with me are confidential.

Exceptions apply if there is a legal obligation to report, for example if someone is at risk of serious harm.

What is you privacy policy?

Here you can read my Privacy Policy.
